This online wine store is the sister company of a popular natural wine bar in Adelaide, SA. They have their beginnings as a way to offer Aussies high quality natural fun and rare wines in the midst of a global pandemic. Even with all the challenges that come with pandemic restrictions, this online wine store thrived and made Australians’ happy-hour-at-home more fun and convenient. With 12 months of operations under their belt, they wanted to celebrate with their customers by surprising them with a 24 hour 20% off everything birthday sale.

On the wine store brand’s 1st anniversary, they offered 20% OFF sitewide for 24 hours plus free same-day delivery and shipping for orders $100 and above. They used Facebook and Instagram ads to advertise the limited time code to get 20% off on all wines (with some rare wines and packs exclusions).

Full Funnel Shoppable Ads

A conversion-goal full funnel ad campaign was set up by Social Geeks to advertise the client’s 24 hour sale promotion. Top of Funnel image ads were utilized to capture cold audiences with colorful fun visuals. Middle of Funnel collection ads for warm audiences to enable a more convenient shopping experience and instant checkouts. And with a Bottom of Funnel carousel ad to retarget abandoned add-to-carts.  With an ads budget of $100 for the 24-hour running sale duration for both Facebook and Instagram, Social Geeks was able to successfully exceed the client’s metrics and sales goals.
